As a member of&nbsp;'The Vaselines', Frances&nbsp;sang of killing pussycats and making muffs and hats out of their fur, and of riding raw young men called Rory. After years of such cheeky misbehaviour, she is no less inspired but certainly considerably darker in an autumnal Gothic sort of way.&nbsp; Kurt Cobain was among McKee's most well-known&nbsp;fans, covering The Vaelines' songs "Molly's Lips", "Son of a Gun" and most notably "Jesus Don't Want me for aa Sunbeam"&nbsp;on Nirvana's critically acclaimed MTV unplugged session, bringing The Vaselines'&nbsp;music to a new audience.&nbsp;&nbsp;The Vaselines supported Nirvana on their 1990 tour, and Kurt's&nbsp;admiration for them was so great, singer, Mckee,&nbsp;provided inspiration when&nbsp;naming his&nbsp;daughter,&nbsp;Frances Bean&nbsp;Cobain. Frances was previously in Glasgow's&nbsp;BMX Bandits, a band who&nbsp;shared members with numerous other local bands, including&nbsp;Teenage Fanclub&nbsp;and&nbsp;the Soup Dragons&nbsp;and were another&nbsp;favourite band of Kurt Cobain's, who said "If I could be in any other band, it would be BMX Bandits".
