Alex G has announced a new show at Glasgow&#39;s legendary Barrowland Ballroom later this year. Pennsylvania&#39;s preeminent master of melodic nostalgia and indie rock experimentation Alex Giannascoli and his long-serving band of brothers return to the city on Mon 17 Nov for their biggest Scottish live show to date, swiftly following the announcement of long-awaited new album Headlights, due for release on 18 July. <a href="undefined">In the meantime, Alex has previewed the first track from his new album</a>, entitled Afterlife. Big Nights @ La Belle is a new month-long concert series taking place during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this summer, only at La Belle Angele. This exciting new collaboration between the popular Old Town venue and summer events series Big Nights Out will host a cavalcade of extraordinary performers across the whole month of August, from familiar names and party starters to your new favourite artist. Beloved Libertines co-founder and esteemed solo artist Peter Docherty will perform across two nights in support of his much-anticipated new album Felt Better Alive (12+13 Aug); Kristen Hersh brings her popular 90s alt-rock combo Throwing Muses back to the capital with their first album in five years, Moonlight Concessions (20 Aug); Multi- Grammy-Award-Winning US Blues artist Fantastic Negrito brings his explosive live show to the city on 19 Aug, while revered MC and master of the bass-baritone flow, Chali 2na (Jurassic 5, Ozomatli) brings his solo tour to Edinburgh for a hip-hop masterclass on 11 Aug. Beach Bunny announce new headline show in Glasgow

Big Nights Out has announced a new wave of summer concerts at Queen’s Park Arena as part of its 2025 programming across two of Glasgow’s iconic outdoor bandstands. Over several nights in May, June and July, Glasgow will play host to a packed line up of world-renowned artists and local legends for a run of very special live outdoor performances at Kelvingrove Bandstand and Queen’s Park Arena this year.Today, new performances have been added to the line up at Queen’s Park Arena, including Leeds post-punk faves Yard Act (18 July), punk-jazz experimenter Geordie Greep (black midi - 19 July) and rambunctious London indie-punk collective Warmduscher (5 July). Ms Ray is a London-based singer-songwriter whose minimal, vocal-led music interweaves themes of empowerment, self-discovery, and the healing potential of the present moment. Tender songwriting combined with her unique vocals and lush yet wonky production creates Ms Ray's distinctive sound. Since her debut solo EP Wow Is Now (2020), created with producer Alex Raybould (Pal), Ms Ray has steadily built a reputation for creating intimate, emotionally resonant music. In 2024, she released Signs on the label Scenic Route's Road Less Travelled Vol. 2, which is followed by her five-track EP Melt (February 2026) on the same label, featuring Nourished by Time. Recent collaborations have expanded Ms Ray's creative network, working with artists including System Olympia, Car Culture, and Nat Home. Dedicated DJ and tastemaker support comes from NTS and BBC Radio 6 and Ms Ray recently performed alongside Jack J and Babeheaven, establishing her as an essential voice in London's contemporary pop music landscape.

Paranoid Void is a math-rock/post-rock instrumental trio from Japan known for their intricate rhythms and emotionally charged compositions. Following the release of Literary Math (2017), the band gained international attention and has since toured across Asia, North America, and Europe, appearing at festivals such as Fuji Rock Festival, ArcTanGent, Portals Festival, Montreux Jazz Festival, Baybeats, and Offside Fest. ... The five musicians behind GOD ALONE are quite literally students of their craft; ETC - their second full length album- was recorded at MTU Cork School of Music which they all attend. ETC was produced by the band and ChristopherHockley, and mastered by Jaime Gomez Arellano (Witch Fever, GGGOLDDD, Ghost). The origins of the band lie in aheavier, post-metal sound, but the intervening years and an influx of new and stimulating influences has seen thembroaden their palette, expand their horizons and hone a distinctive sound. Whilst embracing all that the Irish music scene has to offer, GOD ALONE are constantly pushing to make their wayout of Ireland and further afield. Cutting their teeth in an eclectic and enthusiastic local scene helped them to refinetheir live chops, giving their performance increased weight and attention as they progressed. Now when they write,the live iteration of their music is always at the forefront of their minds. The genre-bending approach traverses through mathrock, dance, avant-garde, post-punk and more on its way to itsfinal destination. Citing the Talking Heads as a big influence, GOD ALONE embrace absurdism at every turn - inparticular the absurdity of nothingness; the art of existing without meaning or context. Abstract lyrics are influenced byFrench dadaist poets as they seek to make heavy ideas into fun, danceable vignettes.

Birdtalker's third full-length effort, All Means, No End finds Nashville-based quartet teaming up with a new collaborator, Louis Johnson (LONAS), who produced, engineered, and helped co-write the album. The new release's official single “Season of Charade” is enjoying early support from Sirius XM's The Spectrum, WNRN and WFPK, as well as John Mayer on his SiriusXM Show, who says "the whole thing is fantastic." Fronted by Zack and Dani Green along with Brian Seligman and Chris Wilson, Birdtalker made their whirlwind debut in 2018 with One featuring their breakout single "Heavy" (now over 95 million streams worldwide). Rolling Stone hailed it as “infectious and sprightly” and NPR Music called it “such a beautiful record” while also earning similar praises from Billboard, World Cafe, American Songwriter, and Relix among others. The release led to non-stop touring, festival appearances, and even their debut performance at the Grand Ole Opry. They followed that up in 2021 with a highly anticipated self-titled sophomore album Birdtalker, which was met with further critical acclaim from Rolling Stone, Paste, Relix, PopMatters, The Boot, The Bluegrass Situation, Americana Highways, American Songwriter, Under The Radar, and more.
