Alex G has announced a new show at Glasgow&#39;s legendary Barrowland Ballroom later this year. Pennsylvania&#39;s preeminent master of melodic nostalgia and indie rock experimentation Alex Giannascoli and his long-serving band of brothers return to the city on Mon 17 Nov for their biggest Scottish live show to date, swiftly following the announcement of long-awaited new album Headlights, due for release on 18 July. <a href="undefined">In the meantime, Alex has previewed the first track from his new album</a>, entitled Afterlife. Big Nights @ La Belle is a new month-long concert series taking place during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this summer, only at La Belle Angele. This exciting new collaboration between the popular Old Town venue and summer events series Big Nights Out will host a cavalcade of extraordinary performers across the whole month of August, from familiar names and party starters to your new favourite artist. Beloved Libertines co-founder and esteemed solo artist Peter Docherty will perform across two nights in support of his much-anticipated new album Felt Better Alive (12+13 Aug); Kristen Hersh brings her popular 90s alt-rock combo Throwing Muses back to the capital with their first album in five years, Moonlight Concessions (20 Aug); Multi- Grammy-Award-Winning US Blues artist Fantastic Negrito brings his explosive live show to the city on 19 Aug, while revered MC and master of the bass-baritone flow, Chali 2na (Jurassic 5, Ozomatli) brings his solo tour to Edinburgh for a hip-hop masterclass on 11 Aug. Beach Bunny announce new headline show in Glasgow

Big Nights Out has announced a new wave of summer concerts at Queen’s Park Arena as part of its 2025 programming across two of Glasgow’s iconic outdoor bandstands. Over several nights in May, June and July, Glasgow will play host to a packed line up of world-renowned artists and local legends for a run of very special live outdoor performances at Kelvingrove Bandstand and Queen’s Park Arena this year.Today, new performances have been added to the line up at Queen’s Park Arena, including Leeds post-punk faves Yard Act (18 July), punk-jazz experimenter Geordie Greep (black midi - 19 July) and rambunctious London indie-punk collective Warmduscher (5 July). Grammy Nominated for his Remembering Little Walter CD he produced and performed on, Mark also won Best Blues CD and Best Traditional Blues CD at the Blues Music Awards in Memphis, TN. Mark&#39;s The Hustle Is Really On climbed to #2 and stayed in the top five for four months on the Living Blues Radio Charts. Hummel&#39;s book &quot;BIG ROAD BLUES:12 Bars on I-80&quot; garnered rave reviews and was nominated for best Independent Book release. Mark Hummel started playing harmonica in 1970 and is considered one of the premier blues harmonica players of his generation. Thanks to over thirty recordings since 1985, including the Grammy nominated 2013 release Blind Pig recording Remembering Little Walter (part of the Blues Harmonica Blowout CD series). Mark Hummel&#39;s Blues Harmonica Blowout™ started in 1991 and have featured every major legend (Mayall, Musselwhite, Cotton, etc.) on blues harp as well as almost every player of note on the instrument - a who&#39;s who of players.Hummel is a road warrior - a true Blues Survivor. Along the way, he has crafted his own trademark harmonica sound - a subtle combination of tone, phrasing and attack combined with a strong sense of swing. Mark has been with Electro Fi Records since 2000, releasing five CDs. Thanks to Mark&#39;s earlier albums, constant touring and appearances at the major blues festivals, he&#39;s firmly established his solid reputation around the US and Europe. Support comes from Al HughesAl Hughes is a Scottish singer/songwriter and when he picks up the guitar you are taken into deep blues. Hughes picks, strums and blows (harp) through this set with self-penned numbers that highlight his talents as a natural blues songwriter and some songs from blues greats that influenced him along the trails. Some of the influences may be easy to spot, but Hughes always adds an original musical and/or lyrical twist that makes each song his own.

Allman Brown is a London, UK based singer-songwriter influenced by classic artists of the genre: Springsteen, Bon Iver, Paul Simon, Tracy Chapman and Feist. A preternaturally gifted vocalist, Brown has released three studio albums - 1000 Years (2017), Darling, It'll Be Alright (2019) and Second Son (2024) - and a number of EPs, which have accumulated a quarter of a billion streams and counting across both Spotify and Apple Music. Many of these songs have been used during dramatic moments of US TV shows such as The Good Doctor, Station 19, Criminal Minds and Suits, lending an emotional gravitas which has come to be associated with Brown’s music. His heart-on-sleeve compositions have taken him on headline tours of the UK, Ireland, continental Europe, Asia and North America. Brown’s fourth album, produced with long time collaborator Ian Barter, is due for release in August 2026, and features the new single “5G”.

Allman Brown

Known for his introspective folk-pop and worldly perspective, Josh Rouse has built a reputation as a critically acclaimed and perennially reliable singer/songwriter. Born in Nebraska, Josh Rouse moved to various cities throughout his childhood and subsequent musical career, driven at first by his father's military career and later by his desire to take inspiration from different environments. He paid tribute to his birthplace on his 1998 debut, Dressed Up Like Nebraska, and later explored the influence of his adopted home state, Tennessee, with 2005's Nashville. Josh later settled in Spain, where his music cycled through various influences from the light Spanish touch of 2010's El Turista to the synth-driven pop of 2018's Love in the Modern Age. He returned to a stripped-down rootsy brand of indie rock for 2022's Going Places.
