Alex G has announced a new show at Glasgow&#39;s legendary Barrowland Ballroom later this year. ALEX G TO PLAY BARRAS IN NOVEMBER

Big Nights @ La Belle is a new month-long concert series taking place during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this summer, only at La Belle Angele. This exciting new collaboration between the popular Old Town venue and summer events series Big Nights Out will host a cavalcade of extraordinary performers across the whole month of August, from familiar names and party starters to your new favourite artist. Beloved Libertines co-founder and esteemed solo artist Peter Docherty will perform across two nights in support of his much-anticipated new album Felt Better Alive (12+13 Aug); Kristen Hersh brings her popular 90s alt-rock combo Throwing Muses back to the capital with their first album in five years, Moonlight Concessions (20 Aug); Multi- Grammy-Award-Winning US Blues artist Fantastic Negrito brings his explosive live show to the city on 19 Aug, while revered MC and master of the bass-baritone flow, Chali 2na (Jurassic 5, Ozomatli) brings his solo tour to Edinburgh for a hip-hop masterclass on 11 Aug. Beach Bunny announce new headline show in Glasgow

Big Nights Out has announced a new wave of summer concerts at Queen’s Park Arena as part of its 2025 programming across two of Glasgow’s iconic outdoor bandstands. Over several nights in May, June and July, Glasgow will play host to a packed line up of world-renowned artists and local legends for a run of very special live outdoor performances at Kelvingrove Bandstand and Queen’s Park Arena this year.Today, new performances have been added to the line up at Queen’s Park Arena, including Leeds post-punk faves Yard Act (18 July), punk-jazz experimenter Geordie Greep (black midi - 19 July) and rambunctious London indie-punk collective Warmduscher (5 July). When&nbsp;10cc co-founder&nbsp;Graham&nbsp;Gouldman&nbsp;formed what became Heart Full of Songs&nbsp;more than a decade&nbsp;ago,&nbsp;it was&nbsp;purely for the pleasure of laying&nbsp;the&nbsp;songs&nbsp;he wrote or co-wrote in&nbsp;their simplest form, acoustically.&nbsp;It started as a&nbsp;three-piece supporting&nbsp;at&nbsp;10cc&nbsp;concerts&nbsp;and&nbsp;quickly&nbsp;evolved into&nbsp;a stand alone entity. These days&nbsp;Heart Full of&nbsp;Songs&nbsp;is&nbsp;a&nbsp;semi acoustic/electric,&nbsp;four-piece&nbsp;with its&nbsp;next UK tour set&nbsp;for October 2026,&nbsp;comprising 18 concerts&nbsp;and culminating&nbsp;at London’s Cadogan Hall&nbsp;on 29 October.&nbsp;Featuring&nbsp;material from across Graham’s&nbsp;catalogue, the set includes such classics&nbsp;as&nbsp;10cc’s&nbsp;I’m Not In Love&nbsp;and&nbsp;Dreadlock Holiday;&nbsp;Bus Stop&nbsp;and&nbsp;Look Through Any Window, which were hits for The Hollies;&nbsp;For Your Love&nbsp;and&nbsp;Heart Full of Soul&nbsp;(the Yardbirds);&nbsp;No Milk Today&nbsp;(Herman’s Hermits);&nbsp;Bridge To Your Heart&nbsp;from&nbsp;his time&nbsp;with the late Andrew Gold&nbsp;as&nbsp;Wax, along with songs from&nbsp;film soundtracks and&nbsp;his solo albums.&nbsp;Acknowledgement of&nbsp;Graham’s achievements has been growing more widely too, with him&nbsp;awarded an MBE in the&nbsp;2025 King’s Birthday Honours list, for services to music. Also underpinning his&nbsp;position as&nbsp;one of&nbsp;the&nbsp;world’s leading&nbsp;songwriters&nbsp;were the guest contributors&nbsp;on&nbsp;his latest&nbsp;album,&nbsp;I have Notes. They include&nbsp;Ringo Starr, Brian May, Hank Marvin and Albert&nbsp;Lee.

First formed in 1974, The Stranglers no bullsh*t attitude was embraced by the punk movement of the late 70s.&nbsp; But their musicianship and menace transcended the genre, creating a sound unique to themselves.&nbsp; With their first three albums (Rattus Norvegicus, No More Heroes and Black and White) being released within an astonishing 13 months of each other, scoring hit singles with ‘Peaches’, ‘No More Heroes’ and ‘Walk On By’. Further success was to follow with ‘Always The Sun’, ‘Strange Little Girl’ and the mercurial ‘Golden Brown’, amongst many others, earning the group 24 top 40 singles in a career (so far) spanning six different decades. The Stranglers’ 2021 album Dark Matters (peaked at #4 in the UK album chart) became the band’s highest charting album since Feline in 1983. This was the last album to feature the mercurial, unmistakable keyboard playing of the late Dave Greenfield, who passed away in 2020 due to Co-Vid related illness. In 2022, the elder-statesman, drummer and founder of the band Jet Black passed away. Testament to the band’s influence on rock music, tributes to Jet poured in from the likes of Duff McKagan (Guns n’ Roses), Ricky Warwick (Thin Lizzy) and Lol Tolhurst (The Cure). Fans can expect to enjoy the charming interplay of bass playing icon Jean-Jacques Burnel and longest serving guitarist/vocalist Baz Warne co-fronting the band as they navigate their way through a varied set of six decades worth of hits, hidden gems and fan favourites. Cemented ever since the busy ‘Fifty Years In Black’ year, JJ and Baz are joined by mainstay Jim Macaulay on drums and newest member, the harmonically dexterous Toby Hounsham on keyboards.
