Alex G has announced a new show at Glasgow&#39;s legendary Barrowland Ballroom later this year. Pennsylvania&#39;s preeminent master of melodic nostalgia and indie rock experimentation Alex Giannascoli and his long-serving band of brothers return to the city on Mon 17 Nov for their biggest Scottish live show to date, swiftly following the announcement of long-awaited new album Headlights, due for release on 18 July. <a href="undefined">In the meantime, Alex has previewed the first track from his new album</a>, entitled Afterlife. Big Nights @ La Belle is a new month-long concert series taking place during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this summer, only at La Belle Angele. This exciting new collaboration between the popular Old Town venue and summer events series Big Nights Out will host a cavalcade of extraordinary performers across the whole month of August, from familiar names and party starters to your new favourite artist. Beloved Libertines co-founder and esteemed solo artist Peter Docherty will perform across two nights in support of his much-anticipated new album Felt Better Alive (12+13 Aug); Kristen Hersh brings her popular 90s alt-rock combo Throwing Muses back to the capital with their first album in five years, Moonlight Concessions (20 Aug); Multi- Grammy-Award-Winning US Blues artist Fantastic Negrito brings his explosive live show to the city on 19 Aug, while revered MC and master of the bass-baritone flow, Chali 2na (Jurassic 5, Ozomatli) brings his solo tour to Edinburgh for a hip-hop masterclass on 11 Aug. Beach Bunny announce new headline show in Glasgow

Big Nights Out has announced a new wave of summer concerts at Queen’s Park Arena as part of its 2025 programming across two of Glasgow’s iconic outdoor bandstands. Over several nights in May, June and July, Glasgow will play host to a packed line up of world-renowned artists and local legends for a run of very special live outdoor performances at Kelvingrove Bandstand and Queen’s Park Arena this year.Today, new performances have been added to the line up at Queen’s Park Arena, including Leeds post-punk faves Yard Act (18 July), punk-jazz experimenter Geordie Greep (black midi - 19 July) and rambunctious London indie-punk collective Warmduscher (5 July). MOLDERJoliet, Illinois' Molder was unleashed upon an unsuspecting public in 2017. Bringing forth a blend of Thrash and Death Metal that embodies all things heavy, filthy, and unholy. The band infested themselves into the local circuit and quickly proved themselves worthy of their rising attention.&nbsp; First making their mark with the debut demo, "An Act of Revenge" the band began to formulate a wider following, cementing themselves a spot in the death metal underground as a force to be reckoned with. Landing the band deals with independent labels such as; Headsplit Records, Goat Throne Records, and Rotted Life Records. If they aren't slaughtering audiences through their headphones/stereos they bludgeon their victims live, with bands like Exhumed, Autopsy, Jungle Rot, and Demolition Hammer.&nbsp; Generating enough buzz to gain the attention of California's Prosthetic Records, exhuming them from the underground. Additionally, through that buzz, Molder has dominated the U.S with a slew of tours and festival appearances such as Milwaukee Metal Fest, Volcanic Strike Hawaii, and Maryland Deathfest to name a few. Molder currently consists of Chicagoland mutants Aaren Pantke (guitars, vocals), Carlos Santini (guitar) Dominic Vaia (bass) and Kyle Pooley (drums) rounding out their strongest lineup yet. This quartet of terror are ready to chop, cut, and carve you up into "granulated chunks". After releasing their acclaimed debut full length, "Vanished Cadavers", and major label debut, “Engrossed In Decay”, Molder have teamed up with Prosthetic to defile your ears yet AGAIN with a new offering, ‘Catastrophic Reconfiguration’ KONTUSIONRaw death metal punk onslaught from New Jersey and Washington D.C. formed around 2021 by drummer Chris Moore (Repulsion, Coke Bust) and vocalist, guitarist and bassist Mark Bronzino (ANS, Mammoth Grinder). Moore and Bronzino formed Kontusion after years of being friends, throughout which the two would jam on riffs while staying at each other's places during stops on various respective tours. Finally around 2021, the duo had the time and energy to start a new band and bring to life years of ideas and interactions shared as friends and as mutual fans of bands like Terrorizer, Napalm Death, Discharge, and Convulse. The idea for Kontusion’s self-tiled 2022 demo (reissued in 2023 by Sentient Ruin) was inspired by the 80’s and 90’s demo tapes and early recordings of legendary death metal bands from that era and their raw, lo-fi sound and minimalist visuals.

Cinder Well is the musical project of California-based multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and producer Amelia Baker. Characterized by her singular vocals, Baker's compositions chart a sonic journey through cinematic soundscapes, weaving surrealistic lyricism with stylistic elements inspired by traditional music, ballads and doom metal. There is weight and resonance to this music, heavy in ways which do not rely on distortion but by the depth of the lyricism and expansive arrangements instead. Cinder Well’s most recent album, ‘Cadence’ was released in 2023. Cinder Well has performed an NPR Tiny Desk Concert, and shared the stage with a wide variety of artists including Reverend Kristin Michael Hayter, Lankum, and has performed at festivals including Other Voices, End of the Road, Prepare the Ground and Amplifest.&nbsp;
