Big Nights @ La Belle is a new month-long concert series taking place during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this summer, only at La Belle Angele. This exciting new collaboration between the popular Old Town venue and summer events series Big Nights Out will host a cavalcade of extraordinary performers across the whole month of August, from familiar names and party starters to your new favourite artist. Beloved Libertines co-founder and esteemed solo artist Peter Docherty will perform across two nights in support of his much-anticipated new album Felt Better Alive (12+13 Aug); Kristen Hersh brings her popular 90s alt-rock combo Throwing Muses back to the capital with their first album in five years, Moonlight Concessions (20 Aug); Multi- Grammy-Award-Winning US Blues artist Fantastic Negrito brings his explosive live show to the city on 19 Aug, while revered MC and master of the bass-baritone flow, Chali 2na (Jurassic 5, Ozomatli) brings his solo tour to Edinburgh for a hip-hop masterclass on 11 Aug. Elsewhere throughout the month Big Nights @ La Belle will welcome cinematic US indie rock elders Mercury Rev; charismatic Australian singer-songwriter, X-Factor Australia sensation and recent Coldplay touring buddy Emmanuel Kelly; the bittersweet brilliance of BC Camplight; beguiling North East alt-indie collective Lanterns on the Lake; beloved UK indie-folk project This Is The Kit; electronic jazz heavyweights Svaneborg Kardyb &amp; Vega Trails; UK blues-rock duo When Rivers Meet and rising Scottish neo-trad trio Project Smok. Beach Bunny announce new headline show in Glasgow

Big Nights Out has announced a new wave of summer concerts at Queen’s Park Arena as part of its 2025 programming across two of Glasgow’s iconic outdoor bandstands. Over several nights in May, June and July, Glasgow will play host to a packed line up of world-renowned artists and local legends for a run of very special live outdoor performances at Kelvingrove Bandstand and Queen’s Park Arena this year.Today, new performances have been added to the line up at Queen’s Park Arena, including Leeds post-punk faves Yard Act (18 July), punk-jazz experimenter Geordie Greep (black midi - 19 July) and rambunctious London indie-punk collective Warmduscher (5 July). Michelle Zauner&#39;s cinematic indie rock project Japanese Breakfast has today released their fourth album, For Melancholy Brunettes (&amp; Sad Women) via Dead Oceans. The album&#39;s release preceds the band&#39;s return to Scotland with a summer headline show at Glasgow&#39;s iconic Barrowland Ballroom set for Mon 30 June. Horse Jumper of Love is an American indie rock trio from Boston, Massachusetts, formed in 2013. The band consists of guitarist/vocalist Dimitri Giannopoulos, bassist John Margaris, and drummer Jamie Vadala-Doran. Known for their slowcore, slacker rock, and shoegaze influences, they have released several albums, including their self-titled debut in 2016, followed by So Divine (2019), Natural Part (2022), Heartbreak Rules (2023), and Disaster Trick (2024). Their music is characterized by introspective lyrics, dynamic shifts between gentle and heavy sounds, and a blend of melancholic and contemplative tones.

Horse Jumper of Love

Desperate Journalist formed in North London in 2013. Their self released 'Cristina' EP and energetic live shows soon caught the attention of Simon Williams who promptly signed them to Fierce Panda records. Over a decade and 5 albums later, the post-punk foursome (Jo, Rob, Simon and Caz) have built a growing and loyal fanbase around the UK and Europe. Following on from the success of 'Maximum Sorrow!', the band played their biggest shows to date, supporting Suede on their sell out Autofiction tour. 5th album 'No Hero' arrived in late 2024 and contained their most ambitious and accessible material to date, from the bass groove led single 'Unsympathetic Parts 1 &amp; 2', to the big choruses of '7'. This will be their first gig in Scotland since 2019.
